historic charm

delicious food comfortable bed super clean bathroom historic building

I enjoyed the saturday dinner. A table was available and the food tasted good. the beds provided comfort, and both the bedroom and bathroom were super clean. i found the historic building interesting (exploring the corridors was fun). the breakfast included plenty of choices.

i noticed some tired decor evident in the flooring.

sewer smell thin walls

the location worked fine. staff was available.

my bathroom smelled awful. it smelled like a sewer and i had to keep the door closed at all times. also, the walls were super thin and i heard every word from the next room. the bed was also too firm for my liking.

Wonderful stay with really good service

really good service delicious dishes clean room ample beer

Michelle offered great service (always smiling!). I recommend the chicken burger and the blade of beef. Both are delicious dishes. The location is excellent. I found the room to be clean and tidy. Staff were friendly, and the food was very good. the beer selection was ample.

I noticed that the breakfast options for those who prefer something other than a cooked breakfast were limited. Some fruit other than grapes and strawberries would be a good addition.

The Standard Double Room included a kettle and tea and coffee making facilities. Two soft and fluffy towels per person were provided. The room was generally clean and well-appointed, awesome for a relaxing stay (I slept soundly).

Breakfast offered lovely options. The Eggs Benedict was amazing, and a full English breakfast was available. Tea, coffee, fruit juice, and water were all available as self-service. I recommend the restaurant for its top-class food.
